Photo enthusiasts are invited to enter this year?s Postcards from the Park competition, which has a first prize of \u00a31,000 in Jessops vouchers.<\/p>\n
The best entries will be featured in a nationwide exhibition and turned into postcards.<\/p>\n
Organisers are keen to ensure entrants do not infringe the privacy of any people included in the pictures.<\/p>\n
Open to all EU residents the competition?s rules state: ?The photograph (s) must not feature anyone who was not aware that you were photographing them or who had not agreed that you may enter the photograph (s) in the competition. For these purposes people will not be deemed to be ?featured? if they cannot be identified from the photograph (s) or if their inclusion is secondary to the main subject matter of the photograph (s).?<\/p>\n
The contest aims to ?celebrate what we all love most about the UK?s public parks and it will encourage thousands of people to capture what they most appreciate about their local park?, say organisers.<\/p>\n
It will once again be judged by photographer Mike McCartney – the brother of Sir Paul McCartney – who said: ?Postcards from the Park is once again a fantastic opportunity to introduce the nation to the great love photography can bring.?<\/p>\n
The project is backed by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund.<\/p>\n
