Sir Paul McCartney?s team will release more photographs taken by his late wife Linda in the days leading up to an exhibition which opens in London on 25 April.<\/p>\n

So far the show?s publicity machine has released just four official pictures to promote the exhibition, which takes place at the James Hyman Gallery on Savile Row.<\/p>\n

However, organisers have told Amateur Photographer<\/em> magazine that they plan to release several more of Linda?s photos over the next week or so.<\/p>\n

The exhibition covers the period from the 1960s until the late 1990s and is expected to include portraits of Sir Paul, Mick Jagger and John Lennon.<\/p>\n

Many of the pictures are ?rarely seen works,? according to the gallery.<\/p>\n

Sir Paul said that an exhibition showing such a range of Linda?s work was ?long overdue?.<\/p>\n

Billed as the first major UK exhibition of Linda McCartney platinum prints, the display took three years to put together with the help of Sir Paul?s daughter Mary and art historian James Hyman. <\/p>\n

The former Beatle added: ?The result is a sensitive selection of works that really demonstrates Linda?s creative output as a photographer. <\/p>\n

?The photographs not only illustrate her incredible talent as an artist but as someone who was very much connected to the culture of the times and wasn?t afraid to challenge herself, or her subject.?<\/p>\n

Landscapes, self-portraits and family life are also depicted in Linda?s pictures.<\/p>\n

Linda McCartney died in 1998.<\/p>\n

The exhibits will take the form of large platinum prints, limited editions of which will be for sale, accompanied by a certificate signed by Sir Paul.<\/p>\n

The show is open to the public from 25 April-19 July. It takes place at the James Hyman Gallery, 5 Savile Row, London W1. Tel: 0207 494 3857. <\/p>\n
