{"id":27047,"date":"2007-10-19T11:52:00","date_gmt":"2007-10-19T10:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amateurphotographer.co.uk\/uncategorized\/copyright-row-bob-carlos-clarke-estate-sues-pepsi-27047"},"modified":"2014-09-02T18:20:25","modified_gmt":"2014-09-02T17:20:25","slug":"copyright-row-bob-carlos-clarke-estate-sues-pepsi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/other.kelsey.host\/amateurphotographer\/latest\/photo-news\/copyright-row-bob-carlos-clarke-estate-sues-pepsi\/","title":{"rendered":"Copyright row: Bob Carlos Clarke estate sues Pepsi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The estate of the late Bob Carlos Clarke is taking legal action against Pepsi which is accused of ripping off a picture by the award-winning photographer in an advert featured on posters and in the press.<\/p>\n<p>The controversy centres on a photograph called ?The Lick\/Mouth?.<\/p>\n<p>Ghislain Pascal, manager of the photographer?s estate, said: ?It?s quite clear for anyone to see that they?ve just completely copied Bob?s photo.?<\/p>\n<p>He added: ?We want adequate  financial compensation for infringing his copyright and we?re prepared to fight this all the way.?<\/p>\n<p>A Pepsi UK spokesperson told <em>Amateur Photographer<\/em> this morning: ?We are currently investigating the matter and until that is completed it would be inappropriate to comment.?<\/p>\n<p>Pascal stressed that Bob?s photograph is not, as some may feel, a blown-up part of an image that could have been taken from numerous other portraits. <\/p>\n<p>?The photo in question in not a cropped photograph.
