East Sussex AP reader Paul Martin has won the chance to photograph Fairport Convention?s three-day music festival at Cropredy in Oxfordshire from the press pit.<\/p>\n
The Eastbourne-based enthusiast won the prize in a photography contest organised in conjunction with AP.<\/p>\n
The event featuring the veteran folk rock band is due to take place from 9-11 August.<\/p>\n
The contest was judged by AP on the basis of the best music\/gig submissions and 50 words on why the entrant should have access to the press pit.<\/p>\n
Paul wrote: ?I would like access to the press pit at the Fairport Cropredy Convention because, although I have shot from the pit before, at forty-three, I want to photograph groups whose audience don?t think the reason I?m taking pictures is because I?m the father of one of the band members.?<\/p>\n
