The London start of the Tour de France this weekend is being celebrated with an exhibition of photographs documenting the world?s most famous cycle race over the past three decades.<\/p>\n

The County Hall on London?s South Bank plays host to the free-to-enter show which depicts 30 years of the Tour de France in the eyes of veteran cycle racing photographer Graham Watson.<\/p>\n

Graham (pictured below) says his interest in cycling photography began when he used to commute to and from London each day by bike – leading him to photograph his first Tour de France race in 1977.<\/p>\n

A spokesman for the exhibition adds: ?Watson focused all his energies on photographing what he considered to be a beautiful sport, to the point in the early 1980s when he was a regular feature at European races and soon gained access to the inner-sanctum of cycling photographers ? a largely Belgian, French\/Italian clan.?<\/p>\n

Entitled ?Eyes on the Tour de France? the show is backed by sunglasses maker Oakley. It runs until 9 July at the County Hall Gallery, Riverside Building, County Hall, London SE1 7PB. <\/p>\n

The exhibition is open from 10am-6.30pm.<\/p>\n
