Fujifilm has embarked on a nationwide drive to promote the use of film within the enthusiast and professional markets.<\/p>\n

Choose-film.com is an internet-based project designed to serve as an online community dedicated to film photography, where users can exchange information and share their images.<\/p>\n

Fuji launched the campaign at this week?s Focus on Imaging show in Birmingham, where the company dished out special promotional stickers to visitors. <\/p>\n

The stickers (pictured) declare such film-related slogans as: A Decent Exposure, Strictly Analogue, I Love Trannys [sic], and I?m Still Developing.<\/p>\n

?Colour, b&w, large format, medium format, professional, enthusiast, single use, instant ? it doesn?t matter what you shoot, as long as you shoot it on real film,? urges the dedicated website which is running a monthly photo competition.<\/p>\n

Subscription to choose-film.com is free. Members can, for example, create their own profile web page on which they can display their images, write a blog and relay contact details.<\/p>\n

The website also serves as a forum, a directory of where to buy film cameras and a shop ?where photographers can buy film at special offer prices?.<\/p>\n

There is currently a free prize draw where photographers can <\/p>\n

win \u00a3200 worth of Fujifilm Professional film and some ?choose-film? products.<\/p>\n

Fujifilm UK has confirmed that its relaunched Fujichrome Velvia 50 Professional will be available in the UK from May, around two years after it was taken out of production (see AP News 25 November 2006).
