Nikon has bolstered its Coolpix compact family with seven new models including a 10-million-pixel camera with ISO 3200 sensitivity called the Coolpix P5000.<\/p>\n
Due out at the end of March priced \u00a3329.99, the P5000 (pictured) features a lens delivering the 35mm equivalent of a 36-126mm zoom. An ?optical lens shift? Vibration Reduction (VR) function is on board along with a 2.5in LCD screen (230,000 pixel resolution).<\/p>\n
Also unwrapped are the Wi-Fi enabled 7.2MP Coolpix S50c, boasting a 3in monitor and 38-114mm equivalent lens. However, this will only be available to buy on Amazon.co.uk.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Nikon?s new 7.1MP Coolpix S500 (\u00a3249.99) includes a claimed shutter release lag of ?less than 0.005sec?.<\/p>\n
And touted as an ?ultra slim? model, comes the S200 (\u00a3199.99) whose body is said to be 18.5mm thick.<\/p>\n
Also making its debut is the 7.1MP Coolpix L12 which incorporates features such as Face Priority AF, along with a 35-105mm equivalent lens. <\/p>\n
Also due out are the 5MP Coolpix L11 and 6MP L10, sporting a 2.4in and 2in screen respectively and each including a top ISO of 800. The L10 (price to be confirmed), L11 (\u00a3129.99) and L12 (\u00a3149.99) can be powered by AA batteries.<\/p>\n
All models use ?optical lens shift? Vibration Reduction, apart from the L10, L11 and the S200 – the latter deploying an ?electronic? VR function.<\/p>\n
The launches coincide with Nikon celebrating its 10th anniversary of Coolpix branded models.<\/p>\n
The L11 and L10 are due out at the end of February. The L12 is out in April, while the S200 is available from the end of March, as is the S500. <\/p>\n
A non-Wi-Fi version of the 50c, called the S50, will only be available from stores owned by DSG International. <\/p>\n
Other prices and UK availability dates were yet to be confirmed at the time of writing.<\/p>\n
