Enthusiasts, professionals and students are invited to enter the Royal Photographic Society?s International Print Competition which this year celebrates its 150th year.<\/p>\n
Celebrity photographer Terry O?Neill will join a panel of judges to select more than 120 of the best shots for the resulting exhibition – images that will also appear in an accompanying catalogue in the summer. <\/p>\n
Entrants can submit up to four prints on any subject matter, in colour or b&w.<\/p>\n
Up for grabs to the overall winner is an RPS Gold medal. Two Silver and three Bronze medals will also be awarded.<\/p>\n
An Olympus E-400 digital SLR will be awarded to the winner of a special under-25 Gold Award.<\/p>\n
An RPS spokesman said: ?The exhibition has been staged almost every year since the formation of the Society in 1853 and has built up an internationally renowned reputation for its exciting breadth of genres and styles, from the artistic to documentary, from portraiture to natural history.?<\/p>\n
This year the RPS plans to launch a touring ?retrospective? exhibition to run alongside its annual print show.<\/p>\n
It costs \u00a315 to enter or \u00a310 for five or more students who enter from the same institution.<\/p>\n
The contest?s deadline is 23 March. <\/p>\n
