Olympus has unveiled ten new digital compact cameras, including a new 10-million-pixel flagship model called the mju 1000.<\/p>\n

Due out in October priced around \u00a3330 the mju 1000 boasts a ?weatherproof? body and a 3x lens capable of delivering the 35mm viewing angle of a 35-105mm zoom. <\/p>\n

Olympus claims the newcomer has a maximum equivalent ISO sensitivity of ISO 6400 at 3MP resolution. When shooting at a resolution of 10MP the top ISO is 1600, adds the company.<\/p>\n

Using Olympus?s BrightCapture Technology, the contrast of the LCD screen can be boosted by up to 4x to help when shooting in low light situations. The 2.5in monitor features a resolution of 230,000 pixels.<\/p>\n

Twenty on-board scene modes include Sports, Beach&Snow and Candle.<\/p>\n

The camera is compatible with xD-Picture Card storage.<\/p>\n
