The chance to have your pictures published in National Geographic<\/i> magazine is up for grabs in a competition dedicated to photo enthusiasts.<\/p>\n

Backed by Fujifilm the digital photography contest will give the winner the chance to go on an expenses-paid UK assignment with adventure photographer Bill Hatcher, a regular contributor to National Geographic<\/i>. The winner?s pictures will be published in National Geographic<\/i> as part of a three-page Fujifilm promotional feature for the magazine.<\/p>\n

?We are anticipating a phenomenal response to this competition,? said Fujifilm UK?s marketing manager for Digital Imaging Will Rolls who added: ?Shooting a feature for National Geographic<\/i> magazine is recognised by some professionals as the ultimate photographic achievement.?<\/p>\n

The mission is to interpret ?morning, moon and night? – a theme Fuji will use to highlight that ?the next generation of digital cameras will have to have the sensitivity to perform in all lighting, not just bright sunlight?.<\/p>\n

Entrants should produce three images, depicting anything from people, places and landscapes to cityscapes, moods and movements. ?It doesn?t matter if it?s at home or abroad,? said a spokesman. ?Entrants should ensure that the three shots ? along with a brief description of no more than 100 words ? provide a complete picture of the chosen subject, while capturing the essence of the changing day.?<\/p>\n

The competition is open to photographers using any digital camera and the winner will be given a Fuji FinePix F30 Zoom (which has a top ISO sensitivity of ISO 3200) that they will use on the shoot.<\/p>\n

Fifty runners-up will win a copy of a National Geographic<\/i> Field Guide.<\/p>\n
