Nokia hopes to uncover new photography talent with a competition that searches for the best image captured using a camera phone.<\/p>\n
Up for grabs is a pair of Virgin Atlantic return airline tickets to anywhere in the world and a chance to work alongside a professional photographer on a ?commercial shoot?.<\/p>\n
Entrants are challenged to ?capture something from a different angle or something never previously photographed?. Organisers add: ?This is your chance to show the world your picture prowess. Show us how to make the ordinary look extraordinary. Surprise us. Inspire us. Or simply confuse us. It?s your call.?<\/p>\n
The international competition is open to anyone over the age of 18 using any make of camera phone provided it has a resolution of at least one million pixels.<\/p>\n
The best image will feature in an exhibition and will be pre-loaded onto future ?Nseries? cameras as ‘wallpapers’, says Nokia. <\/p>\n
The contest is backed by five photographers including London-based Nick Waplington who said: ?Photography as a medium has developed to a point where it is around us, in all manners, at all times. Camera phones have played a big part in this.?<\/p>\n
The deadline for the entries to the Nokia Nseries See New Competition is 16 December 2005.<\/p>\n
