The biggest surprise of the day was undoubtedly Panasonic’s new half-phone half-camera, the Android-equipped Lumix CM1<\/a>, which also sports a 28mm f\/2.8 lens and a 20MP 1-inch sensor.<\/p>\n

We also saw the ‘big sensor, small body’ Canon PowerShot G7 X.<\/a> Take a look at Andy Westlake’s first impressions review of this new premium compact<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Panasonic also introduced the Lumix GM5<\/a>, successor to the matchbox-sized GM1, which we managed to get hold of for a first look<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Canon has revealed the EOS 7D Mark II, its new flagship APS-C camera, five years after the original 7D. We got to play with one for a hands-on first look<\/a>, and we also sat down with Canon’s Product Intelligence Consultant David Parry, who stressed the importance of the kind of enthusiasts that the 7D Mark II is aimed at<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere from Panasonic we saw the LX100, a high-end compact featuring a 16-million-pixel micro four thirds sensor<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Samsung weren’t to be left out, introducing the fast-shooting NX1<\/a>, with new auto shooting modes designed to capture fleeting action moments.<\/p>\n

Olympus debuted a silver version of its flagship OM-D E-M1, as well as a new 40-150mm f\/2.8 professional lens and 1.4x teleconverter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And lastly, Sony introduced a new Zeiss FE 16-35mm f\/4 wide angle zoom lens to its E-mount system<\/a>.<\/p>\n
