If ‘most new releases in a day’ were a competition at Photokina (it’s not) then Day Two’s winner would have to be Leica. Not content with launching an entry-level medium format camera, the Leica S-E<\/a>, the firm also found time to introduce a new X-series compact<\/a>, a special M Edition 60 with no LCD screen<\/a> (!), and a new Leica M-A that ditches digital altogether<\/a> in a bid to encourage photographers to get back to the essentials of photography.<\/p>\n

Indeed yesterday was a bit of a low-fi day in Cologne, with the news that the Impossible Project has debuted a black and white instant film<\/a> in which the image is framed inside a circle in the centre of a square.<\/p>\n

Even with all this old-school news, we haven’t neglected the digital side of things. Our Deputy Technical Editor Michael Topham took a look at 13 Things You Didn\u2019t Know About The Canon EOS 7D Mark II<\/a>.<\/p>\n
