Amateur Photographer is looking for a \u2028photograph<\/a> taken by a reader to feature on the cover of the 20-27 December issue.<\/p>\n

Like last year, the magazine is seeking pictures that typify the \u2028season.<\/p>\n

It could be a snowy landscape, the northern lights, winter wildlife \u2028\u2013 anything that you think best illustrates the festive season.<\/p>\n

Entrants should try to avoid the usual \u2028Christmas clich\u00e9 images, however, as we\u2019re looking for something stunning and \u2028eye-catching.<\/p>\n

It \u2028could be an image that you already have on file, or maybe you want to spend time \u2028thinking about an idea and then go out to shoot it.<\/p>\n

All you have to do is upload your images to the \u2018Christmas cover competition\u2019 Gallery<\/a> or Flickr group<\/a> adding the tag #coverscom, \u00a0by 30 November 2014, and we will consider each and every one.<\/p>\n

If your image is chosen to appear on the cover you will receive a payment of \u00a3200, plus a Camlink CMP1 Monopod and a National Geographic rucksack (overseas entries will only be entitled to the \u00a3200 prize, due to customs restrictions).<\/p>\n

The winning image will also appear on the Amateur Photographer<\/em> website.<\/p>\n
