Perhaps of greater appeal to photography enthusiasts is news that Canon has also\u00a0unveiled a new image storage device,\u00a0the Connect Station CS100 (see below).<\/p>\n

First up is the\u00a0Canon PowerShot SX530 HS (pictured), which features a 50x optical zoom and is due to land in UK stores this month, priced \u00a3329.99.<\/p>\n

Canon will also this month release the PowerShot N2, sporting a tilting 180\u00b0 touchscreen and a dedicated selfie mode.<\/p>\n

The N2 includes an enhanced Creative Shot function and carries a \u00a3289.99 pricetag.<\/p>\n

Also on the way is a trio of new Canon Ixus models in the shape of the Ixus 170 (\u00a3149.99), Ixus 165 \u00a3129.99) and Ixus 160 (\u00a399.99), each boasting a 20-million-pixel imaging sensor.<\/p>\n

The Ixus 165 and Ixus 160 are due in shops this month, while the Ixus 170 is expected to arrive in February.<\/p>\n

Next month Canon is also due to launch the PowerShot SX710 HS and PowerShot SX610 HS, which carry a 30x and 18x optical zoom respectively, and are priced at \u00a3329.99 and \u00a3229.99.<\/p>\n

Once captured, images can be can be shared wirelessly using built-in Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity.<\/p>\n

Connect Station CS100
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Canon will also use CES to showcase a 1TB image storage and sharing device called the Connect Station CS100.<\/p>\n

\"Connect_Station_CS100<\/a>The Connect Station CS100, which is not due on sale in the UK until June, is designed to connect to a TV via HDMI, and allow users to display still images and movies in Full HD.<\/p>\n

Photographers should be able to transfer images and movies to the device using NFC wireless connectivity (from NFC-enabled Canon cameras and camcorders), or direct from a camera via USB, or memory card.<\/p>\n

Images can also be wirelessly transferred from a smartphone or tablet, for example, over Wi-Fi, via a web browser.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Canon UK claimed: \u2018The Connect Station CS100 also makes it easy to organise your image libraries via your TV, using the dedicated infrared remote control you can view content in date order or create themed albums.\u2019<\/p>\n
