In a three-part retrospective<\/a>, Reuters published a series of historic\u00a0news photos\u00a0from its vast archive, alongside comments from the photographers who took them and the kit they used.<\/p>\n

Speaking today, Reuters Global Pictures Editor Reinhard Krause told Amateur Photographer<\/em>: \u2018Our package celebrating the 30th anniversary of Reuters Pictures was a great success and created considerable interest.<\/p>\n

\u2018We have had a very positive reaction\u2026\u2019<\/p>\n

Announcing the 30-year milestone last week, Reuters said: \u2018Reuters photographers have captured dramatic images illustrating the human tragedy of natural disaster and war as well as the fallout of economic events across the continents.<\/p>\n

\u2018They have brought their lenses to bear on sport, culture and show business as well as world political and economic leaders \u2013 creating iconic images, recognised around the world.\u2019<\/p>\n

Krause added today: \u2018The pictures have been widely used, we have experienced a significant increase in website views and an increase in enquiries about Reuters Pictures.\u2019<\/p>\n
