Fujifilm has released a firmware update for the X-T1, X100T, S1 and a series of Fuji lenses. Claimed enhancements on the X-T1, for example, include improved flash functionality and Wi-Fi.<\/strong><\/p>\n

FUJIFILM release new firmware for the X-T1, X100T, S1 and a series of lenses<\/em><\/p>\n

FUJIFILM Corporation have released firmware upgrades for the following products to enhance operability and functions.<\/em><\/p>\n

[Firmware version]<\/em>
\n (1) X-T1 and X-T1GS :\u00a03.10 (current 3.00)<\/em>
\n (2) X100T :\u00a01.10 (current 1.00)<\/em>
\n (3) S1 : 1.02 (current 1.01)<\/em>
\n (4) XF18-55mm : 3.12 (current 3.11)<\/em>
\n (5) XF55-200mm : 1.12 (current 1.11)<\/em>
\n (6) XF18-135mm : 1.01 (current 1.00)<\/em>
\n (7) XF10-24mm : 1.01 (current 1.00)<\/em><\/p>\n

X-T1 firmware updates<\/em><\/p>\n

Improved flash functionality<\/em>
\n When using an\u00a0external non-TTL flash, it will now\u00a0fire when the\u00a0“MECHANICAL+ELECTRONIC” is selected in the <\/em><\/p>\n

“SHUTTER TYPE” option of the SHOOTING MENU.<\/em>
\n If “S (Shutter Priority)” or “M (Manual Exposure)” mode is selected, set the shutter speed to 1\/180sec or slower.<\/em><\/p>\n

Improved Wi-Fi<\/em>
\n Improved\u00a0Wi-Fi communication\u00a0when “FUJIFILM PC AutoSave” is used. The phenomenon is fixed that Wi-Fi communication with “FUJIFILM PC AutoSave” stops at the moment the LCD turns off.<\/em><\/p>\n

Improved\u00a0“USB MODE” functionality<\/em>
\n (i) When “PC SHOOT FIXED” is selected, the warning of “IMAGES ARE NOT SAVED IN THE CARD” appears.
\n<\/em>(ii) If\u00a0“PC SHOOT FIXED” is selected in the “USB MODE” and the camera is not connected to a PC via a USB cable, you cannot turn off the camera when you turn the ON\/OFF switch to the OFF position or remove the lens from the camera because the camera stays in the waiting mode for image transfer.<\/em><\/p>\n

With this upgrade, the message below will appear to confirm whether you stop the image transfer to the PC or not in such operations. If you press “OK” button, the camera will turn off without recording images.<\/em><\/p>\n

Note: “PCSHOOT AUTO” and “PS SHOOT FIXED” in the “USB MODE” are the modes to use PC shooting software like the optional accessory HS-V5. If you don’t use such a software, select “MTP(PTP)” in the “USB MODE”.<\/em><\/p>\n

X100T firmware updates<\/em>
\n “CONVERSION LENS” setting updated<\/em>
\n When an Fn button with “CONVERSION LENS” setting is pressed, one of the messages below appears in a cyclic manner in addition to the icons.<\/em><\/p>\n

Improved flash functionality<\/em>
\n When using an\u00a0external non-TTL flash, it will now\u00a0fire when the\u00a0“MECHANICAL+ELECTRONIC” is selected in the “SHUTTER TYPE” option of the SHOOTING MENU.<\/em><\/p>\n

Updated\u00a0viewfinder display<\/em>
\n When the dual optical viewfinder\/electronic rangefinder (ERF) display is used with the Digital Split Image, the white Focus frame appears in the centre of the viewfinder.<\/em><\/p>\n

Improvement of Focus Peaking display<\/em>
\n Focus peaking improved in the\u00a0electronic viewfinder for\u00a0darker environments to help with\u00a0focusing.<\/em><\/p>\n

FinePix S1 firmware update<\/em>
\n Improved image quality<\/em>
\n Image quality improved (sharpness) when using\u00a0continuous shooting mode.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lens firmware update<\/em>
\n Stability improvement\u00a0for the OIS Function with the following lenses:<\/em>
