Fade is designed to allow photographers to soften colours for an \u2018aged film effect\u2019, while Color allows the tinting of highlights and shadows in an image. For full details, see the Instagram blog page<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

PRESS RELEASE<\/em><\/p>\n

Instagram has announced the launch of two new creative tools \u2013\u00a0Fade and Color. In December, Instagram demonstrated its commitment to bringing the best-in-class creative tools to its community with the launch of five new filters and the ability to tweak perspective.<\/em><\/p>\n

Fade and Color are the latest response to the Instagram community\u2019s calls for even more creative options.<\/em><\/p>\n

Please see below for further details about these new tools.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Fade: allows you to create an aged film effect on your photo by softening the colours.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Color: allows you to tint the highlights or shadows in your photo. You can choose from a range of eight colour options \u2013\u00a0yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue, cyan and green. \u2018Shadows\u2019 will add to the dark areas of the photo, while \u2018Highlights\u2019 will add colours to the bright areas of the photo.<\/em><\/p>\n

Fade and\u00a0Color will appear under the creative tools toggle alongside Instagram\u2019s other editing tools.<\/em><\/p>\n
