The Panasonic Lumix G Macro 30mm f\/2.8 ASPH Mega OIS features a maximum reproduction ratio of 1:1, making it a ‘true’ macro lens.<\/p>\n

It’s equipped with Panasonic’s MEGA Optical Image Stabiliser which is used to combat blurring effects caused by camera shake.<\/p>\n

Delivering the 35mm viewing angle equivalent of a 60mm lens, the 30mm macro also has multi-coated lens elements to help cut flare and ghosting.<\/p>\n

The lens is constructed of nine elements in nine groups, one of which is an aspherical element designed to greatly reduce aberrations. It carries an aperture range of f\/2.8 to f\/22, has a closest focusing distance of 10.5cm, and features seven diaphragm blades.<\/p>\n

Measuring around 63.5mm from tip to base, the Lumix G Macro 30mm f\/2.8 weighs about 180g and has a filter size of 46mm.<\/p>\n

It was announced back in February<\/a> along with the Lumix G 42.5mm f\/1.7 Asph\/Power OIS, a lens designed to give beautiful bokeh in portraits.<\/p>\n
