Kenko has taken wraps off\u00a0two new teleconverters \u2013 the Teleplus 1.4x HD DGX and the Teleplus 2.0 HD DGX T. Initially available in Canon fit and compatible with EF and EF-S lenses, they\u2019re an alternative option to the more expensive Canon EF 1.4x III extender (\u00a3314) and the Canon EF 2x III extender (\u00a3319). Here we take a closer look at their features and specifications<\/p>\n

Teleplus 1.4x HD DGX Teleconverter – \u00a3219<\/h2>\n

The Kenko TELEPLUS HD DGX 1.4X teleconverter will initially be available in Canon fit and contains a set of optics which multiply the focal length of a lens by 1.4x, turning a 300mm lens into the equivalent of 420mm.<\/p>\n\t\t

The Kenko Teleplus 1.4x HD DGX teleconverter features a 3 elements in 2 groups arrangement<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\n

Full autofocus operation with the HD DGX 1.4x is possible using a camera lens with an open aperture of f\/4 or brighter (except Canon EF 50mm f\/1.8). Note that autofocus will only work properly only if there is enough light and contrast on the subject to activate the camera’s AF sensors properly, otherwise manual focusing may be necessary.<\/p>\n

Teleplus HD DGX 2.0 – \u00a3279.99<\/h2>\n

The Kenko TELEPLUS HD DGX 2.0 teleconverter, also initially available in Canon mount, contains a set of optics which multiply the focal length of your prime lens by 2x, turning a 300mm lens into the equivalent of 600mm.<\/p>\n\"kenko<\/a>\n

Teleplus HD DGX converters use unique circuitry which maintains signal integrity between the camera body and lens, allowing accurate recording of digital EXIF data. Full AF operation with the HD DGX 2.0x is possible using a camera lens with an open aperture of f\/2.8 or brighter (except Canon EF 50mm f\/1.8). Like the Teleplus 1.4x HD DGX Teleconverter, autofocus will work if there is enough light and contrast on the subject to activate the camera’s AF sensors.<\/p>\n
