In an advisory notice, Nikon says the fault sometimes results in \u2018shading of a portion of images\u2019.<\/p>\n

Nikon has urged customers to check the seven-digit serial number of their cameras to find out whether it is one of the affected models.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Nikon UK said: ‘We are very sorry for any inconvenience that this might cause our customers.<\/p>\n

‘Whilst the number of cameras affected is small, we are taking proactive action to minimise any potential future issues for our customers.<\/p>\n

‘We would request that D750 owners refer to the advisory notice and check to see if their camera could be affected by the issue.<\/p>\n

‘For more detailed information on this, please refer to the service advisory [below].’<\/p>\n

Nikon UK declined to say how many of the faulty cameras have reached the Europe or the UK.<\/p>\n

\nTo users of the Nikon D750 digital SLR camera \u2013\u00a0possible image shading from shutter<\/em><\/p>\n

Thank you for choosing Nikon for your photographic needs. It has come to our attention that the shutter in some Nikon D750 digital SLR cameras manufactured in October and November of 2014 does not function normally, sometimes resulting in shading of a portion of images.
\nWe have decided to take the following measures regarding this issue. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.<\/p>\n

Identifying affected products<\/strong>
\nTo check whether or not your camera is one of those affected by this issue, click\u00a0Affected Product Serial Numbers<\/a>\u00a0and enter your D750 serial number as instructed. Your camera’s serial number will be checked against those of applicable products. If your camera is one of those affected, instructions for requesting repairs will be displayed. If your camera is not affected by this issue, rest assured that repairs to your camera are not necessary and you may continue using your camera without concern for this issue.<\/p>\n\"D750.WEB\"<\/a>\n

The camera’s serial number is the seven-digit number indicated by the red frame in the image above.<\/p>\n

Resolution<\/strong>
\nPlease contact your nearest Nikon service center if you own a Nikon D750 digital SLR camera to which this issue applies. They will keep your camera, and examine and repair the camera’s shutter free of charge, even if the camera’s warranty has expired.<\/p>\n
