The UK Drone Show will be held at the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre on 5 and 6 December.<\/p>\n

Billed as the UK\u2019s biggest ever gathering of like-minded manufacturers and consumers, the event will include drone-training sessions that aim to \u2018pioneer the way to highlight the need for training in this rapidly growing marketplace\u2019.<\/p>\n

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) will use the show to outline the current thinking on how oversight of the drone sector will evolve \u2018over the short to medium term\u2019, according to organisers.<\/p>\n

Last week, the CAA launched a campaign warning \u2018recreational\u2019 users to operate drones safely<\/a> and not endanger other aircraft after a number of recent near misses.<\/p>\n

The show will also include product demonstrations, celebrity guests and a first person view (FPV) racing circuit.<\/p>\n

On the latter, organisers add: \u2018A rapidly developing sport, FPV racing, or drone racing, pits drone operators against each other using first person view technology.\u2019<\/p>\n

Aerial photography will also be covered, as well as careers in the drone industry.<\/p>\n

The show will take place ahead of the busy festive season. Last year, drones were\u00a0a popular Christmas gift.<\/p>\n

Sony recently announced plans to launch its first camera-equipped drone<\/a> at the beginning of next year.<\/p>\n
