Organisers are seeking images that best encapsulate Britain\u2019s coast, seafarers and the sea.<\/p>\n

Entries could, for example, depict the work of fishermen, merchant mariners, wildlife or seascapes.<\/p>\n

The deadline for submissions is 7 August 2015.<\/p>\n

The society\u2019s chief executive, Commodore Malcolm Williams, said: \u2018Since the launch of the competition, we have received an excellent response with entries again being of a very high standard.<\/p>\n

\u2018With images portraying all aspects of UK\u2019s love for, connection with and reliance on the sea, this year\u2019s competition is certainly going to be a very tough one to judge.\u2019<\/p>\n

Judges include AP Editor Nigel Atherton and Sophie Battersbury, head of pictures at The Independent<\/em>.<\/p>\n
