Introduced in the Alpha 77 II, 4D Focus is designed to deliver \u2018wide autofocus coverage: (2D height and width), fast AF speed (3D depth) and enhanced predictive tracking (4D time)\u2019.<\/p>\n

Like, the Alpha 77 II, the Alpha 68 boasts 79 phase-detection AF points including 15 cross points, and an f\/2.8 AF sensor point for tackling \u2018dimly-lit scenes\u2019. This compares to a 15-point AF sensor on the 20MP Alpha 58.<\/p>\n

Other features include\u00a0a top burst rate of 8 frames per second (the same as the Alpha 58) and a maximum ISO of 25,600 \u2013 an improvement on the top ISO of 16,000 on the Alpha 58.<\/p>\n

A 2.7in LCD screen is built to tilt upwards by 135\u00b0 or down 55\u00b0, while 10 customisable function buttons can be assigned for fast access to the most-used settings.<\/p>\n

The Alpha 68, which uses an APS-C-sized imaging sensor, is aimed at photo enthusiasts but there is as yet no word on a UK launch date or price.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s teamed with Sony\u2019s speedy BIONZ X image processor that uses Detail Reproduction and Diffraction-reducing Technologies plus Area-specific Noise Reduction for pristine, finely detailed shots every time.<\/em><\/p>\n

Full HD movies use the efficient XAVC Sv format for high bit rate recordings at up to 50 Mbps with outstanding detail and low noise.
