Paris Photo published a statement on its website<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

\u2018Following the decision of the Ministry of Culture and Communication, all Ile de France cultural institutions open to the public, including the Grand Palais, will be closed Sunday November 15\u2026\u2019 organisers said in a statement published on the Paris Photo website following a similar notice on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Yesterday\u2019s closure brought an early end to this year\u2019s event, which opened to the public on 12 November.<\/p>\n

\u2018Reed expositions, the Paris Photo team and all the exhibitors extend their sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims of the attacks and share in the national mourning decreed by the President of the Republic,\u2019 the statement added.<\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s Paris Photo pulled in almost 60,000 visitors, a 58% rise on the 38,000 who attended in 2010.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s show featured 173 exhibitors and included the work of 1,258 artists \u2013 among them famed photographers Ansel Adams, Diane Arbus and Berenice Abbott.<\/p>\n

Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris claimed the lives of 129 people and injured hundreds more, many seriously.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
