The Desktop 5.0 update for the Lytro Illum features DepthFX that, claims Lytro, makes chroma-keying for background replacement unnecessary and \u2018enables depth-based editorial adjustments like exposure, contrast and saturation\u2019. Chroma-key editing allows a coloured background to be replaced with a background of your choice and can be useful for studio portraits. In a statement, Lytro said today: \u2018Easily change the background of an image by selecting a depth layer and replacing it with a new image \u2013 essentially rendering the use of green screens unnecessary \u2013 while keeping the interactivity and advantages of a living picture.\u2019 The Lytro Illum<\/a> features Light Field technology that allows images to be refocused after shooting. The Lytro Desktop 5.0 update features breakthrough depth-editing capabilities that are not currently possible with any other camera on the market.
