Photojournalist Adriana Zehbrauskas, last year’s winner, is helping to judge this year’s Getty Images Instagram Grant programme<\/em><\/p>\n

The Getty Images Instagram Grant programme offers three winners a $10,000 grant designed to provide financial backing for them to continue, or create, work on Instagram.<\/p>\n

They will also be given professional support from a Getty Images staff photographer, via the agency\u2019s mentorship scheme.<\/p>\n

Each applicant is asked to submit a short description of their approach, style, the stories they have covered using Instagram, plus a selection of imagery from their Instagram account, which can include both photos and video.<\/p>\n

\u2018The line between photography and videography is blurring,\u2019 said Amanda Kelso, Instagram\u2019s community director.<\/p>\n

\u2018This grant celebrates the unique power of visual mediums to elicit empathy, challenge minds and broaden our world view in an instant.\u2019<\/p>\n

Elodie Mailliet Storm, Getty Images\u2019 senior director of content partnerships, said: \u2018We believe in the power of images to raise awareness, change perspectives and inspire social change.\u2019<\/p>\n

The deadline for entries is 12 April 2016.<\/p>\n
