The award-winning photo retailer – which will continue to operate its flagship outlet in West Sussex and online business – plans to open in the \u2018heart of London’s West End’ in December.<\/p>\n

Park Cameras’ managing director Roscoe Atkins said tonight: \u2018This is a major step forward for our business. We are very proud of our flagship store in Burgess Hill and very pleased that we are able to attract customers from all over the UK.’<\/p>\n

He added: \u2018The London store will provide a more convenient location for our large customer base in the Greater London area.<\/p>\n

\u2018We believe there is a large market for our proposition, focusing on quality and choice of brands and an unrivalled level of product knowledge and customer service.<\/p>\n

\u2018We are looking forward to getting the store open and trading.’<\/p>\n

In February, Park Cameras recruited Jessops’ former chief David Adams<\/a> as chairman – a year after he left the UK’s largest photographic chain.<\/p>\n

Jessops’ former flagship store in New Oxford Street was turned into a Morrisons supermarket <\/a>after the 187-store chain went into administration under previous owners in January. <\/p>\n

Jessops has so far reopened 28 shops \u2013 including one in central London (on nearby Oxford Street) \u2013 since the high-street brand was rescued by Dragons’ Den<\/em> star Peter Jones<\/a> in the spring.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1971, Park Cameras says it is looking to hire staff with \u2018exceptional talent’ for its new London store. <\/p>\n

Applicants should also have a \u2018passion for photography’ and a \u2018helpful, friendly approach’.<\/p>\n

The exact location of the new Park Cameras store had not been disclosed at the time of writing. <\/p>\n
