Nikon filed the lawsuit against Sakar<\/a> on 11 October, in the US.<\/p>\n\t\t

In a statement<\/a>, released today, Nikon’s Japanese headquarters claimed: \u2018Although Nikon has negotiated with Sakar to amicably resolve this problem, we could not reach an agreement.<\/p>\n

\u2018Consequently, Nikon has decided to initiate the lawsuit by necessity.’<\/p>\n

Sakar, which is based in New Jersey, had yet to respond to a request for comment at the time of writing.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, industry watchers likened the looks of the Polaroid iM1836 to the Nikon 1 J1\/J2 cameras<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Polaroid iM1836<\/a> was first announced at the CES show in January.<\/p>\n
