Titled \u2018Bailey’s Stardust’, the exhibition features more than 250 images, all of which have been personally selected by Bailey himself.<\/p>\n

The selection includes images from Bailey’s 2012 travels to the Naga Hills in India, as well as a new portrait of supermodel Kate Moss (above).<\/p>\n

The National Portrait Gallery revealed that Bailey will be making new silver gelatin prints of his black and white portraits especially for this exhibition.<\/p>\n

Two of Bailey’s acclaimed bodies of works will be represented in the exhibition: ‘Box of Pin-Ups’, poster prints from the 1960s of celebrities who epitomised the ‘Swinging London’ scene, and ‘Bailey’s Democracy’, a more recent series in which Bailey asked every visitor to his studio if they would agree to being photographed naked.<\/p>\n

Sandy Nairne, Director of the National Portrait Gallery, said, ‘Bailey’s Stardust is a very special event. It offers an exceptional opportunity to enjoy the widest range of the mercurial portraits created by David Bailey, one of the world’s greatest image-makers.’<\/p>\n

‘Bailey’s Stardust’ will be showing at London’s National Portrait Gallery from February 6 to June 1, 2014. There will be a charge for admission, currently unspecified.
