SanDisk claims the Extreme Pro CFast 2.0 is the fastest memory card in the world, capable of achieving read speeds of up to 450MB\/s and write speeds of up to 350 MB\/s.\n<\/p>\n

The new cards are also extremely durable, having been created to withstand exposure to temperature, shock and vibration. The pinless design also minimises potential for damage caused by inserting\/removing the card.<\/p>\n

The new SanDisk Extreme Pro memory card is the world’s first to use the CFast 2.0 specification announced by CompactFlash Association members last year.<\/p>\n

Though the only cameras that currently support the specification are made by videography manufacturer ARRI, early adopters and enthusiasts of the technology include Canon.<\/p>\n

Canon says that the new cards will allow for development of more powerful next-generation cameras with capabilities such as 4k Ultra HD video recording.<\/p>\n

The previous day, SanDisk also announce the release of the Extreme Pro Compactflash memory card, a 256GB CompactFlash-compatible memory card that can write data at a maximum speed of 140MB\/s.<\/p>\n

The SanDisk Extreme Pro CFast 2.0 will be available soon, at a price yet to be confirmed. The SanDisk Extreme Pro Compact flash memory card is available now, shipping worldwide at prices ranging from $219.99 (\u00a3138) to $1809.99 (\u00a31136). <\/p>\n
