An unlimited number of flashes can be deployed remotely, provided one is used as a master.<\/p>\nDue out in September or October is a new weather-resistant-lens, the 23mm f\/2 R WR, which Fujifilm UK marketing manager Andreas Georghiades says draws from an ethos first established with the 35mm f\/2 \u2013 adopting a smaller form factor ideally suited to rangefinder-style models (such as the X-Pro2).<\/p>\n
This will be followed, in 2017, with two more similarly styled primes: a 50mm f\/2 R WR and 80mm f\/2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro, with the latter offering a 1:1 macro ratio.<\/p>\n
The 80mm lens will replace the 120mm that Fuji had originally planned but decided to drop because the company believed it would not be of an acceptable size and weight. The firm also had to ensure the lens would be compatible with 1.4x and 2x teleconverters.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Fuji has released further details of the
\nnew EF-X500, a weather-resistant flash for use with
\nthe X-T1, X-T2 and X-Pro2.<\/p>\n
\u2018[Its] design is in keeping with our mirrorless mantra of smaller, lighter, higher quality,\u2019 added Georghiades.<\/p>\n
The EF-X500 is expected to cost \u00a3449.99 when it launches in September.<\/p>\n
When first announced in January, Fuji said its high-speed sync, which aims to enable a more even exposure throughout the frame, is designed to support the 1\/8000sec shutter speed of the X-Pro2.
\nOriginally due in May but delayed by firmware development, the EF-X500 covers 24-105mm (in 35mm terms) and 20mm using a wide panel. Its wireless system enables it to be used with up to three firing groups, and all the flash units can be controlled from the camera.<\/p>\n

The EF-X500 will boast a 2.5sec recycle time; tilt up to 90\u00b0, down to 10\u00b0; and rotate horizontally 135\u00b0 to the left and 180\u00b0 to the right.<\/p>\n
