Red Dot Cameras, which is based in the City, has been told that police have arrested a man in connection with the theft.<\/p>\n

NEWS UPDATE 28 AUGUST: Man charged over series of thefts<\/a> <\/p>\n

A man escaped with a Leica M-E, a 50mm f\/2 Summicron lens and a filter from the store on 16 May, during normal opening hours.<\/p>\n

It is not clear whether the arrested man is also suspected of stealing gear from other stores across the South East, as reported<\/a> earlier this year.<\/p>\n

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police had yet to respond to a request for comment at the time of writing.<\/p>\n
