One of the benefits of removing the mirror is that it allows more flexibility on the GF lens design. Fuji explains.<\/p>\n
The firm quotes a flange-back distance of 26.7mm<\/p>\n
The first three lenses will be: a 63mm f\/2.8, 32-64 f\/4, and a 120mm f\/4 \u2013 all due out in early 2017 along with the camera.<\/p>\n
The Fuji GFX 50S kit will include an external EVF.<\/p>\n
Key features of the GFX 50S also include a newly designed focal plane shutter and a tilting LCD screen.<\/p>\n
Quoting US photojournalist W Eugene Smith, Fuji said: \u2018The world just does not conveniently into the format of a 35mm camera.\u2019<\/p>\n
Fuji said it has historically always tried to build a complete system for its cameras.<\/p>\n
A price has yet to be announced but the GFX 50S is expected to cost under $10,000, including a 63mm lens, (excluding local taxes)<\/p>\n

The sensor\u2019s 51.4 megapixels can be adapted to various aspect ratios, including 4:3 (default), 3:2, 1:1, 4:5, 6:7 and 6:17, which were available in film cameras of the large- and medium-formats.
