APOY 2013 Competition Results Round Four – Interior Architecture

Bill Sell<\/strong>, of Carmarthen, is the winner of our Interior Architecture round of APOY 2013. Bill will receive a Panasonic Lumix DMC-G5 with Lumix G Vario 14-42mm f\/3.5-5.6 Asph Mega OIS and Leica DG Summilux 25mm f\/1.4 Asph lenses worth \u00a31,347.98. The G5 is a digital single-lens mirrorless camera with a 16.05-million-pixel, four thirds, Live MOS sensor. <\/p>\n

\u00a0It has 6fps high-speed continuous shooting, a 3in, 920,000-dot articulated LCD touchscreen, and a 1.44-million-dot EVF. The Leica DG Summilux 25mm f\/1.4 Asph lens has a bright f\/1.4 maximum aperture that provides superb image quality with minimum distortion, plus a beautiful soft focus. <\/p>\n

Our second-placed winner is Helen Groumas, of Berlin in Germany, who will receive a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7 worth \u00a3469.99. This high-spec compact camera has a 10.1-million-pixel High-Sensitivity MOS sensor, f\/1.4-2.3 \u2028(24-90mm equivalent) Leica Vario-Summilux lens and full manual control. <\/p>\n

Ian Butterworth, of Wetherby in West Yorkshire, finished third in the
\nround and wins a Panasonic Lumix DMC-XS1 (in white) worth \u00a3119.99.
\nPanasonic claims that the 16.1-million-pixel XS1 has the world’s
\nslimmest body profile, and it’s certainly skinny with a 14mm-deep body.
\nIts 5x optical zoom with 24mm ultra-wideangle lens and tiny form make
\nthe XS1 the ultimate carry-it-with-you-everywhere camera. <\/p>\n

Judges say:’Sometimes during the judging process a shot just leaps out at us right away. Bill’s brilliant interpretation of the brief is definitely one of those shots. The strong red against the deep black is a such a striking sight that we couldn’t help but award Bill first place in this round’.<\/p>\n

Judges say:’Like Bill’s shot, Helen’s image has a truly distinctive look. Every element of this shot works. The person, the camera position and the tonal range are great. It’s a very rewarding image<\/p>\n
