On the evening of
\nMay 15, the Positive View Foundation will present a benefit sale of photographs
\nfrom the \u2018Landmark: Fields of Photography’ collection, which exhibited at
\nSomerset House in March of this year.<\/p>\n
Among the 42
\nworks offered are unique prints by notable photographers from the 19th
\nand 20th Century, including Daniel Beltr\u00e1, Nadav Kander and Edward
\nBurtynsky.<\/p>\n
Proceeds from the
\nsale will benefit the Positive View Foundation and the Educational Programme it
\nis launching on the evening of the auction.<\/p>\n
The Programme
\naims to support photographic educational projects for underprivileged young
\npeople and initiatives that tackle issues of youth crime.<\/p>\n
Andrew Page, CEO
\nand Founder of Positive View Foundation, said: \u2018”Landmark: the Fields of
\nPhotography” has been a resounding success, with tens of thousands of people
\nenjoying the exhibition at Somerset House.’<\/p>\n
He added: \u2018Our
\nfocus is now to ensure that we take the work donated by photographers and use
\nit to change the lives of some of our most disadvantaged under 25-year-olds.’<\/p>\n
Christie’s said
