Samsung has unveiled the latest addition to
\nits NX line of compact system cameras, the NX2000, with integrated Near Field
\nCommunication Wi-Fi connectivity.<\/p>\n

The NX2000, announced today, comes equipped
\nwith a 20.3 APS-C CMOS sensor, and an ISO range that has increased one stop up
\nfrom the NX1000 to a maximum of 25,600.<\/p>\n

The camera boasts a 3.7-inch LCD touchscreen
\nwith 1,152k dots resolution – significantly larger than the NX1000’s. SMART
\nmode technology allows for greater flexibility of pre-settings and a greater
\nnumber of scene modes. <\/p>\n

Also new are an eight fps (frames per
\nsecond) continuous shooting mode and a top shutter speed of 1\/4000sec, which
\nSamsung claims will \u2018ensure no moment is missed’.<\/p>\n

A new feature is the integrated Near Field
\nCommunication (NFC) Wi-Fi connectivity. The camera is able to interface with
\nNFC-enabled Android devices and share images instantly. <\/p>\n

Also having been adopted by Panasonic’s
\nLumix G6, NFC connectivity is a step forward in allowing compact cameras the
\nsharing versatility of smartphones. With the option to sync the camera’s Direct
\nLink hotkey to social networking sites such as Facebook, Samsung seems keen to
\npush this functionality.<\/p>\n

Samsung offers 12 interchangeable lenses
\nfor the camera, including zooms, macro and a premium portrait lens. The
\ni-Function system, which first debuted with the NX100, allows the user to use
\nthe lens focus ring to alter settings like aperture and shutter speed. Full HD and 3D video can also be recorded using Samsung’s
\n(separately available) 45mm 2D\/3D lens.<\/p>\n
