The XF55-200mm f\/3.5-4.8 R LM OIS, for the Fujifilm X-Pro1 and X-E1, features image stabilisation claimed to enable the use of shutter speeds 4.5 stops slower than otherwise possible.<\/p>\n

The newcomer incorporates a 1\/3EV-step aperture ring, focus ring, plus two linear motors for \u2018high-speed AF of 0.28 seconds’, making the lens suitable for shooting video, says Fuji.<\/p>\n

Also on board are two ED lens elements, one Super ED element and a Fujinon HT-EBC coating to help prevent reflections and control flair and ghosting.<\/p>\n

To coincide with the launch, Fuji has updated the firmware for the X-Pro1 and X-E1 cameras in a bid to speed up AF to 0.7 secs when used with the new lens.<\/p>\n

\u2018Thanks to a new algorithm, the firmware will be able to harness the full capability of the lens, enabling both cameras to search the contrast AF quickly throughout the full range of focal lengths,’ adds the firm in a statement.<\/p>\n

The firmware, which can be downloaded from www.fujifilm.com<\/a>, also boosts AF speed when used with other current XF lenses, according to Fuji.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
